What's Cookin"

We're just working on a few last minute additions to the Thanksgiving menu. Lily here is contributing her newest creation - chocolate milk with blueberries, salt and Kool-aid. Sounds better than canned cranberry sauce, if you ask me!

PS - Chef Lily totally endorses cooking with your fanny showing, and licking the bowl!

Brace Yourself

Ha,ha. Pretty clever huh?

We are 12 weeks from the big day when baby Benjamin joins our clan and things are starting to happen, including the SLOW process of my braces coming off. The top came off last week and I have a promise that the bottom will come off before baby is born. I was happy to accept any progress!
Baby crib has been ordered and bedding. Good start.

I made a little room for more clothes and blankets and toys and bottles and shoes and stuff.

This is an exciting and overwhelming preparation stage. But we are taking it on wearing our biggest SMILES!

We're Not In Kansas Anymore, Toto!

Or...Homestead, I should say. My parents neighborhood completely transformed into a spooky, party wonderland on Halloween! We had a blast walking house-to-house just to see what was next. Some houses provided DJ's and dance music, others were haunted houses complete with talking trees. We got original treats like popsicles - perfect for the not-so-cool fall evening. I was totally amazed by the creativity and family-fun spirit! And, of course, I loved watching Lily take it all in. She was a beautiful Dorothy and we had a great time sharing with close friends!

It was a memorable Halloween! The first of many holidays that I think Lily is starting to get the hang of.
